Main Street America's "A" Rating Affirmed
A.M. Best affirmed The Main Street America Group's "A" (Excellent) rating, with a stable outlook, in April 2011. The rating is based on the consolidated financial results of Main Street America's seven operating companies: NGM Insurance Company, Main Street America Assurance Company, MSA Insurance Company, Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance Company, Great Lakes Casualty Insurance Company, Main Street America Protection Insurance Company and Old Dominion Insurance Company.

A.M. Best's Rating Rationale
In its 2011 Best's Rating Report, A.M. Best notes, "The rating reflects Main Street America Group's excellent risk-adjusted capitalization, trend of strong operating performance, diversified product offerings and established regional market presence along the East Coast. These positive factors are derived from the group's focused marketing and branding strategies, disciplined underwriting philosophy and pricing segmentation."
